Frequently Asked Questions About Cardiology Studies

Do I need a doctor's order for an echocardiogram?
No. You can schedule directly; the doctor will evaluate during the consultation if a Doppler echocardiogram is the right study based on your symptoms and medical history.
How long does the stress test last?
The active exercise phase lasts between 8 and 12 minutes, but including preparation and the recovery period afterward, the entire procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Is the Holter disturbing to sleep?
The digital monitor device is small, lightweight, and placed in a comfortable harness. The vast majority of patients adapt quickly and fall asleep normally.
Can I eat before the studies?
For the stress test, a light fast of 4 hours is recommended, and avoiding caffeine or colas. For a resting electrocardiogram or echocardiogram, fasting is not required.
Will I receive an explanation of the results?
Yes. Dr. Karla Castolo dedicates time at the end of the study to explain the findings in your report in detail, resolve your doubts, and deliver practical recommendations.
Do you accept medical insurance?
Yes, we issue fiscal invoices and structured medical reports with standard codes so that you can easily process reimbursement with your insurance company.
