How to prepare for your appointment?

Please read these recommendations to ensure your consultation or study is carried out in the most comfortable and efficient way possible.

Do I need to fast for my initial evaluation?
No. For a general consultation or complimentary electrocardiogram, fasting is not required. You can eat and take your medications normally.
What should I bring on the day of my consultation?
We suggest bringing a written list of all medications you are currently taking (with doses and schedules), as well as copies of your laboratory studies, electrocardiograms, or previous medical prescriptions.
If I am going to perform a stress test, how should I prepare?
You must wear comfortable two-piece sportswear (e.g., pants/shorts and a t-shirt) and sneakers. Avoid heavy meals within 3 hours prior and do not apply creams or oils to your chest. Ask us when scheduling if you should suspend any medication.
How should I dress for an echocardiogram, Holter, or MAPA?
It is recommended to wear comfortable two-piece clothing (such as a button-up shirt/blouse and pants) to facilitate the placement of electrodes or the cuff. Avoid applying creams or lotions to your torso on the day of the study.
Does the Hospiten Puerto Vallarta office have parking?
Yes, Hospiten has a large monitored parking lot for the convenience and security of patients during their visit.
